Ce fut le grand succs du feuilleton dans le journal qui mena sa publication sous forme de livre en 1886, qui remporta aussi un grand succs ainsi que ses illustrations par Reginald Birch. "e;Le Petit Lord Fauntleroy"e; marqua galement un prcdent dans les lois sur le copyright en 1888, quand son auteur gagna un procs pour obtenir les droits sur les adaptations de son A uvre au thtre. En France, le roman fut traduit et publi pour la premire fois en 1888 sous le titre "e;Le Petit Lord"e;. "e;Little Lord Fauntleroy"e; is the first children's novel written by English playwright and author Frances Hodgson Burnett. It was originally published as a serial in the "e;St. Nicholas Magazine"e; between November 1885 and October 1886, then as a book by Scribner's in 1886. The accompanying illustrations by Reginald Birch set fashion trends and "e;Little Lord Fauntleroy"e; also set a precedent in copyright law when in 1888 its author won a lawsuit against E. V. Seebohm over the rights to theatrical adaptations of the work.
