<div>Cliff Wootton is a former Interactive TV systems architect at the BBC. The "Interactive</div><div>News Loops" service developed there was nominated for a BAFTA and won a Royal</div><div>Television Society Award for Technical Innovation. Previously invited as a guest speaker</div><div>on pre-processing for video compression at the Apple WWDC developer conference in</div><div>San Francisco and a former speaker on Interactive TV systems at the National</div><div>Association of Broadcasters conference in Las Vegas.</div><div>Previously taught post graduate MA students about real-world computing, multimedia,</div><div>video compression, metadata and how to leverage artistic creativity through the use of</div><div>engineering and developer tools to build art installations.</div><div>Current project work includes advanced web based user interface development</div><div>technologies, ePublishing tools, web-to-print systems and working as a consultant</div><div>engineer on R&amp;D projectsstudying the deployment of next generation interactive TV</div><div>systems based on open standards. Pro-bono work includes MPEG, ePublishing</div><div>metadata and Cloud storage standards working groups.</div>
