Introduction

Beloved, you are about to discover the secrets to knowing God more than ever before.  One question that is you may be asking right now in your heart is how can I be intimate with someone I can’t see, hear, or touch? God and I can’t go out for coffee or even give each other a hug. Yet we know that God created us for intimate fellowship with him.

You may also want to ask the following questions

  1. How can i know God?
  2. How can I discern his voice and feel love for him in my heart?
  3. How can I hear God when he is speaking to me?

In this book, which contains 30 days devotional with the holy spirit, you will know how to  develop  intimacy with the God of the universe, you will know God the more, You will be happy throughout the rest of your life and your prayers will automatically be answered when you move closer to God.

Day 1 Honor the Lord Your God

Scriptures: Acts 1:1-2, 13-14; Romans 1:4

There are many things we ignore when we pray to God. One of them is we don’t honor Him. One of the strategies to answered prayers is to honor God our Creator.  It is a command that we must obey God. In The book of Exodus 20:5 God says, You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them; for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers: It is only He who must bow down to not any graven image or idol.

Phil 2:10: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.

O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker (Psalms 95:6).

Proverbs 3:9: Honor the LORD with your substance, and with the first fruits of all your increase.

From the above verses you will agree with me that the fastest way to receive from God is to honor Him. NO PRAYER CAN BE ANSWERED IF YOU FAIL TO HONOR GOD.

Most Christians today do not honor God in the proper way.  In most cases some Christians find it difficult to kneel down when seeking the face of the Lord.

When Jesus was praying to His father, He was always honoring Him by bowing down. Luke 22:41: To receive what you ask for, honor God; acknowledge his dominion and authority.

Prayers

Day 2 Wait on Him

Scriptures: Acts 1:4-5; Acts 2:1-2

One of the commandments which Jesus gave His disciples was that they should wait for the promise of the Father and that is the coming of the Holy Spirit and Baptism of the disciples with the Holy Ghost. In obedience the disciples waited in prayer and in one accord and the spirit of God came upon them as God promised. Jesus is saying the same to all his disciples. You need the Holy Ghost, wait upon Him.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank you for your immense love in laying down your life for me. The disciples obediently waited as you asked them. Help me daily to wait. Holy Spirit I Love You. Fill my life as you did the disciples.

Reasons you have to wait on the Lord for your prayers to be answered

Mistakes we as children of God make every day is that we are always anxious at doing things.  The word (wait) is not in our Dictionary. Most people don't like to wait. We often get frustrated waiting on fast food or waiting behind the slow car in the fast lane. We are always in a rush to get to the next place or the next thing.  The truth is your prayer will definitely be answered if you wait on the Lord your God. Just trust him, believe that it is done and wait patiently for the answer.

Regrettably, we now carry the rush mindset on our spiritual life.  When we pray to God, we expect an answer immediately. It does not work that way. But while most of us are in a hurry, it seems God is usually not in a hurry. The Scriptures say He is slow at going about things. It seems He always has a plan and a purpose for everything.

The problem with waiting is not having all the details. From our perspective, we have everything figured out and we want God to move within our timeframe.

But God rarely does things according to our timeframe, and because of this we can easily get discouraged. If we aren't careful, we'll think He's uncaring or mad at us.

God always has good reasons for making us wait. Waiting is a part of life and one of God's tools for developing people. The Bible is full of stories of people having to wait on God, such as Noah, Abraham, Moses, Joseph, David, Daniel, Jesus, Paul and countless others.

Waiting on the Lord, Reveals Our True Intension

God use waiting to reveal the best and worst in people, waiting detects true identity of people. People who don't have good motives won't wait long because they're not interested in the commitment it takes to see something through. They're too interested in short-term gains or success.

Day 3: POWERS

Scriptures: Acts 3:1-8; Luke 18:35-43

Jesus told His disciples that when the Holy Spirit comes upon them they shall receive Power and then they can witnesses unto Him (Jesus) all over the world. When the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples, they received Power. Peter and John in the Power of the Holy Ghost brought healing to a man who was lame from His mother’s womb.
